All Hallow's Eve

We had such a blast this Halloween! It makes such a difference when your child is excited about it. Even though at first I don't think that he knew exactly why he was excited.

Last Saturday we all went to a pumpkin carving party. It was so much fun Daniel had a blast with his friends.

Here he and Zach are hitting(more like tapping) the pinata.

Then the Daddies tried to bust open the pinata.

But they busted Zach's wiffle ball bat! So Chris(not pictured-sorry!)went and got his aluminum bat. That got it!

But Nicholas(that's Nic-Nic to Daniel and Zach)doesn't like it when things break so he cried when Chris broke the pinata.

Then all the candy that his mommy would open for him was broken, so that made him even more sadder!

But Zach and Daniel didn't care! Infact they were happy to eat the pieces that had busted out of the packages and were all over the driveway and dirt. Hey, candy is candy right?

But then we went inside had some very good chili and tried to make the boys eat some really good chicken soup that Tracy made-I need that recipie! We wanted them to eat something healthy before they just overloaded on candy. I have to say, Zach did really good, Daniel and Nicholas just fared to decent.

Then it was time to carve the pumpkins.

Daniel and Zach just "helped" everyone. They would bring their chairs over and move people out of the way so that they could help.

I think that they helped Chris and Deanna the most. But generally they would at some point come over to your carving area and say "I'm going to help you!!" and then stab your pumpkin with one of those pumpkin thingies. Zach did that to Chris and Deanna's and then put tape over the stab wounds.

But in the end the pumpkins turned out beautifully. But really what happend to the triangle nose, mouth and eyes?

Then it was time to blow them out.
